Reach Testing: Durability
This month, we put Reach through the wringer; from kids to bodybuilders and over 300 lbs of tension, Reach aced our durability tests.
Our first test features Rico, a local sportsman, attempting to tear Reach from its mounted position. While in the second round, Reach and a 1911 Mil-spec face 370 lbs of resistance during our static force test.
Made with families in mind, we knew Reach's most significant challenge would come from curious kids. Our tiny testers, try to break into the Reach unit using hammers, crowbars, and screwdrivers.
These latest tests show Reach surpassing durability expectations, and soon we’ll begin testing sensor time draws and reliability.
With nothing else like it on the market, we want our Reach testing to cover a broad spectrum of variables to ensure biometric read, durability, and most importantly, safety. So, let us know in the comments some of the criteria you'd like to see Reach surpass or what favorite reviewer you want to see with Reach.
Reach is now available for pre-order! Note: shipping for Reach and Reach accessories begins August 31st.
